What WF SecurityCloud is and does
What is WF SecurityCloud, briefly?
Protection that stops your computers, servers and websites from communicating with addresses and domains already known for attacking. Knowledge of which ones comes from a sensor network that receives real attack attempts.
Is it an antivirus program?
No. An antivirus looks at files on the machine. WF SecurityCloud looks at which addresses the machine talks to. They solve different problems, and you should have both.
Does it work alongside my existing antivirus?
Yes. WF SecurityCloud is built as a complementary layer and does not turn off any other protection.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows client 4.0 requires Windows. The WordPress plugin runs wherever WordPress runs, regardless of the server operating system.
About your data
Do you read my files?
No. The protection builds on threat data from outside, not on scanning what you have on the device. Files, documents and email are never opened.
What is sent from my device to you?
Events about blocked traffic: the address that was stopped, the type of event, the time and which of your devices it concerned. That is what lets you see the log in the panel.
Do you see which websites I visit?
No. Only what is blocked is reported. Ordinary traffic is not recorded and not sent in.
Where is the data stored?
In Webbfabriken's own operating environment. Payments go through Stripe, which receives the details required for the transaction. We store no card details.
Buying and using
How is a licence counted?
Per device. A computer, a server, a website or a sensor each take one licence.
Can I use the same licences for different products?
Yes, that is the whole point of the model. Licences sit in a pool and you distribute them yourself between Windows clients, WordPress sites and sensors.
Where do I see the prices?
In the customer panel, where you also complete the purchase.
What happens if I change computer?
You release the licence from the old device in the panel and activate it on the new one.
Installation and day-to-day
Where do I get the installation file?
In the customer panel after logging in. That ties the download to the right licence and gives you the version that applies to your account.
Can I turn the protection off temporarily?
Yes, per device from the panel. That is useful during troubleshooting or for installations that misbehave.
Something is being blocked that should not be. What do I do?
Get in touch with the address and roughly when it happened. We review the evidence and correct it if the assessment is wrong. We would much rather hear about it than have it stay in place.
How often is the threat data updated?
Continuously. Devices fetch updated lists on an ongoing basis rather than in large batches at long intervals.
