Dangerous links do not go through
If the domain is already known, the connection is blocked, whether the link arrived by email, chat or a web page.
Protection that does not require you to be a technician
You have a computer, perhaps a few in the household. You do not want to learn a security system — you want it to work and stay out of the way.
One more layer, on top of what you already have
Windows has built-in protection and you may have an antivirus program. Keep them. WF SecurityCloud does something else: it makes sure the machine does not talk to addresses and domains already known for attacking.
In practice you notice it mostly when it matters. A link in an email leading to a known phishing site does not go through. A program trying to reach a command server does not get out.
